About the artist:

Wayne Cooper was born in 1942 near Depew, Oklahoma and is of Yuchi descent. He is an internationally known artist, who specializes advance American Western Art. His rearing in Oklahoma and Indian stock, are the subject of repeat of his artistic creations by means of oil and canvas.

His experienced career began in the completely 1960s, and continues currently set about his artwork. His early tradition was with Woody Crumbo, top-notch celebrated Potawatomi artist and pedagog who taught at Bacone Faculty. Cooper was commissioned by Perkins, Oklahoma in close proximity to create two 12 foot auburn sculptures which extend to 18 foot on their pedestals.

Look after is of legendary cowboy Unreserved Eaton, also known as “Pistol Pete”, the mascot of Oklahoma State University. The other chromatic is of Iowa chief “No Heart”.
